We collect almost nothing, and we tell you exactly what.

Intently is the controller of the personal information described in this Privacy Policy.

• visitors to and users of the Intently website, or any other feature that refers or links to this Privacy Policy
• subscribers to Intently news and waiting lists

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, whether you told us you are a reader, a writer, or both, the wording of the consent you agreed to, and the times you signed up and confirmed. If you arrived through a shared link, we also record which link brought you, and if you unsubscribe we record when. That is everything. We do not store your IP address, we do not use cookies, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind on this site.

We use your address for one purpose: to tell you when Intently is ready and to send you occasional news about early access before then. We ask you to confirm your address by email first, so nobody can add you to the list without your say-so.

For personal information collected about you in the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the UK, we rely on:

• Contractual obligation: for example, to provide a service or information you have requested.
• Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as regulatory injunctions, administrative procedures or other legal process, or to handle an opt-out request or your exercise of your rights.
• Consent: from time to time, and case by case, we may process your personal information based on your explicit consent.
• Legitimate interest: we may rely on our legitimate interest (after a balancing assessment against your interests, rights and freedoms) for various purposes.

We send email through Resend, who process your address on our behalf in order to deliver it, and we store it with Supabase, who host our database. Nobody else. We do not sell, share, or trade your address, and we do not use it to build a profile of you anywhere else.

Your personal information is primarily hosted within the EU/EEA. Some of our sub-processors are located outside of the EU/EEA, so your personal data may be transferred outside of the EU/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR, together with supplementary technical and organisational measures designed to ensure a level of protection essentially equivalent to that guaranteed within the EEA.

We keep your address while you are on the list. If you unsubscribe, or if you never confirm your email, we delete your record within about three months. If you would like it deleted sooner, email us and we will delete it outright and confirm when it is done.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. We keep these measures under review and update them as appropriate.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond. You can also unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email we send, without contacting us at all. You can also complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish data protection authority.

• Access: ask us for a copy of your personal information we process about you.
• Rectification: ask us to correct information you consider as inaccurate, or complete information you think is incomplete.
• Erasure: ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
• Restriction: ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.
• Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Data portability: ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation, or to you. This may apply only to information you provided, where we process it based on your consent to a contract and the processing is automated.
• Withdraw consent: where you have given consent, you can withdraw it any time.
• Complaint: file a complaint at any time with the competent data protection authority where you live, or with the Swedish Data Protection Authority (https://www.imy.se/en/).
